Paula Nedelcoff, LMFT

Staff Psychotherapist

Biography:

A Humboldt Alum and community member since 1972, I am a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, 90% boys!  I love community activities, the outdoors, gardening and social justice implementation. I'm proud to say I helped develop and implement the first Take Back The Night in Humboldt County and my signature is on the first Food Bank grant application.

Areas of Interest:

My training was in Object Relations and in depth therapy.  I find I use a framework of developmental psychology with a blend of mindfulness. Given we use a short term model here at the University I like a gentle cognitive behavioral approach with many of my clients.

Licensure:
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Degrees:
MA, Psychology, Professional School of Psychology, San Francisco
BA, Psychology, Humboldt State University
Favorite professional and self-help books:

The Color of Water by James McBride, currently reading The World According to Mr. Rogers
